I was recently interviewed for the Manchester Evening News about our fundraising walk along Hadrian’s Wall.

A granny is preparing to walk the entire length of Hadrian’s wall – to raise cash for a special school and encourage other Muslims to support local charities.

Rifat Saleem, 57, hopes to raise £10,000 for the Seashell Trust in Cheadle by trekking 84 miles from Bowness-on-Solway to Wallsend, Newcastle.

Mrs Saleem, from Hale, decided to support the special school after learning about the work that it does with students with communication difficulties.
