The Seashell Trust

The Seashell Trust provides a home, an education and hope for a better future for children, young people and adults with learning difficulties and disabilities. Many of those who come to the Seashell Trust face such complex problems that they may never be able to communicate, play, laugh or even cry. Many have nowhere else to turn.

The Trust is an amazing place and does amazing things. Based in Cheadle, the specialist school, college and residential houses make a huge difference to the profoundly disabled children that live in our local community. Highly dedicated staff provide 24-hour care, seven days a week, all year round – and with your support the Zanfa Initiative raised £10,000 to sponsor a sensory room in one of their residential houses.

A Sensory Room in school is crucial. Its lights, moving objects, special textures and shapes can tap into children’s often hidden senses.

The Seashell Trust have young people who live with them on campus and would benefit from having access to a sensory room in their home so they can use it any time of the evening. This is the project we need your help with.
